Common Questions
Everything you need to know about our cycling routes and experiences in Limerick
Yes, they're genuinely flat. The Ballyhoura Mountain Flat Loop and Dairy Pasture Trail are specifically chosen for minimal elevation gain—you're cycling through pastoral countryside without the climbs. Most people come back to cycling on these routes because there's no struggle with steep hills.
Routes vary between 15 and 25 kilometres depending on which experience you choose. The Old Creamery Road loop is on the shorter end, while the Kilfinane Village Heritage Route combines distance with stops for rest and exploring. We can discuss what works for you before booking.
Get in touch and we'll sort it out. We can point you toward local bike shops for a quick service, or discuss hire options for the day. The key is that you're comfortable and confident on the bike before we set off.
Not at all. These are paced experiences where the group stays together. We're here to enjoy the countryside, talk to fellow cyclists, and take in the landscape—not race. You set the tone for the pace that works for you.
We handle the route knowledge, navigation, and group management. You'll want to bring water, weather-appropriate clothing, and any personal medications. Sunscreen and a basic repair kit are sensible too. We'll give you a full checklist when you book.
We run rides through the year, with spring and autumn being especially pleasant for cycling. Light rain doesn't stop us—it's part of Irish cycling. But if there's heavy rain, high wind, or unsafe conditions, we'll reschedule. You'll be notified well in advance.
